The performance is a homage for emotional, sentimental and melodramatic spheres. The work explores power ballads and pop culture’s heart break imagery as ‘emotional fiction’; something commercially produced but through which it is possible to dwell into personal experiences. By studying these performative gestures; embodyment of emotionality, loss and longing an expressive and dramatic movement language is created. The performers play with this materiality and the scale of vulnerability and performativity.
